    Computerization of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies in the State

    To make Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies in the country self-reliant under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the Central Government approved the centrally sponsored project “Computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies” on June 29, 2022. Under this project, 63,000 societies in the country and 12,000 operational agricultural credit societies in Maharashtra will be computerized over a three-year period from 2022-23 to 2024-25. The project will be implemented, guided, and monitored by NABARD under the supervision of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, New Delhi. The cost of computerizing the societies, training human resources, and providing after-sales service has been estimated at ₹ 3.91 lakh per society.
