Strengthening of the Cooperative Movement in Maharashtra through development of financially sound and economically independent cooperative Institutions.

The administration aims to proactively, responsively, and promptly oversee the functioning of all Cooperatives in the State, both Rural and Urban. The goal is to support Cooperatives in achieving the shared development objectives of their members. This will be accomplished through improved quality of service delivery, with strong member participation and professional management. Emphasis will also be placed on maintaining fiscal prudence throughout cooperative operations.
